Lexington Fashion Guide

You can now call Lexington the fashion capital of the world – well, it might as well be for the extent of your stay here. Whether you need jeans, dresses, shoes, vintage or UK wear, you can find it in Lexington. As with any city, there are different areas where you can shop, so you’ve got to know your way around. To make it easy, here’s your guide to Lexington fashion:

Fayette Mall & the Plaza – This is the Mecca of Lexington fashion. Here, you’ll find stores for all styles and all ages – all in the same place (of course, it IS a mall). They have clothing, shoes, accessories, beauty, jewelry, etc. etc. etc. Close to the mall, you’ll find The Plaza, which is an extension of clothing store options in the area. Pretty soon, we’ll even have The Summit, which will be a shopping center across Nicholasville Rd. For now, here are just a few places to get your fashion fix in the mall:

Lexington Green/Nicholasville Rd – Moving down the road, there are plenty of places to check out in Lexington Green and further down on Nicholasville Rd. Lexington Green is where you’ll find the coveted Lululemon and Anthropologie (and you should also check out Joseph Beth while you’re there). For vintage finds, Street Scene is just a few minutes away, and for our frugal shoppers, TJ Maxx and Plato’s Closet can be found down the street. The clothing stores in this area are as follows:

Hamburg Pavilion – A little farther away from campus, Hamburg is a shopping center full of options if you want to get away from the mall crowd. With restaurants, too, you and your friends can spend the day shopping away.
