Summer Skincare Tips

The summer climate can be rough on your skin. One day can be the hottest and driest day of the year and the next can be hot and humid. Here are some great skincare tips to help you get through the next week weeks:

1st. Drink Water

This is an obvious one but also the most important! Water is not only necessary but helps your skin stay hydrated and smooth. Packing a bottle of water to bring with you wherever you go is a good idea.

2nd. Moisturize

When you're out in the sun all day, your skin can get dry which can cause lots of problems. Applying lotion or even coconut oil once a day can make a huge difference with your skin. Also, if you want to get two birds with one stone try finding a sunscreen that doubles as a moisturizer!

3rd. Wear lighter makeup Being out in the sun with a lot of makeup can make your pores get clogged and make you more likely to break out. However, there's no need to sacrifice wearing makeup. Instead of foundation wearing BB cream can really help your skin.

4th. Wash your face This is another obvious yet sometimes overlooked tip! When you come home from a long day or night of being out, don't just resort to makeup wipes to clean your face. Try using different face washes to really clean your skin. Doing a face mask once a week or so also can be a beneficial step afterwards. If you are someone that has sensitive skin, applying a product on your arm to see how it feels before on your face is a good option.

These are just a few basic skincare tips that should help get your skin under control for the last month and a half of summer!
