Steal the Look: Lana Del Rey
Lana Del Rey is a familiar name to many. Her vintage music sound and style make her very memorable. With her recent album release Lust for Life she’s back on the radar. Lana has a very interesting, unique, yet easily replicable fashion style. She has a few different styles theres more a grunge look and one that reminds you of of the 50s. To steal her look here are some clothing and accessories styles to look for.
1. Floral Patterns
One of Lana's most recognizable looks is her in some sort of floral dress and a flower crown on her head. Floral patterned clothing is something most of us own and it can also be found at most stores.
2. Lace
Lana Del Rey gives off a very enchanting and mystical vibe. One of the ways she achieves this is wearing lacey clothing. If you want to use her look as an inspiration and not just copy it, a great alternative to wearing a lot of lace is to have one statement piece that is lace. For example pairing an outfit with a lace kimono or having a lace bralette showing a bit.
3. Denim
In her old school days Lana wore a lot of denim. Her style of denim is washed out and more over sized which is meant to give off a more vintage feel to the look. If you want to create a bold look, you can pair washed out jeans with a similar jean jacket and a simple white or black top. If you want to just incorporate denim, you can pair a jean jacket with an outfit to make it a little edgier and keep you warm.
4. Colors
Lana rarely, if ever, wears bright neon colors. She wears a lot of pastel, neutral colors, or a bold red. To incorporate her color palate into your looks is very simple, just avoid neon.
5. Sundresses
One of Lana Del Rey's signature outfits is a long flowy sundress. This is a great clothing item to wear because its very easy to wear and can be styled a few different ways. This is probably the easiest clothing item to wear to replicate Lana's look.
6. Accessories
As for accessories, Lana's go to tend to be bold sunglasses, large floppy hats, big earrings, and bold lipstick. They all have a common theme: being bold and flashy. For shoes, there are two ends of the spectrum depending on what you are wearing. If the look is casual it can be paired with a pair of high top converse or simple sneakers. Or if the look is more dressy then a nice pair of flats or heels will do.
