BIG & BOLD Fall Fashion Trends You Need to Follow

Miss the hottest trends from the 70’s and 80’s? Well, you're in luck! Thanks to the fall 2018 runway, retro fashion is in. Big and bold trends will keep you looking in-style this coming fall. My favorite aspect of the trends we are seeing is that you can make them completely yours. Being as unique as possible and picking fun statement pieces that reflect your personality, can make any outfit look put together.

DENIM

Jeans and a basic tee has never looked trendier. This fall, find yourself wearing loose-fit (boyfriend), flared, fringed, or even patched denim. Christian Dior showcased a killer patterned denim fit on the Paris runway this year, so how could we not follow suit? Where can you find these needed staples? Check out Revice Denim for a cool twist on your everyday look.

OVERSIZED...Everything?

Faux fur outerwear, sweaters, denim jackets, and even flannels will keep you warm and comfortable this fall. Layering and oversized silhouettes were seen all over the runway this year. Thank you, Balenciaga and Marc Jacobs! Be careful to pick pieces that won’t drown you out, like a chunky cable knit sweater or an oversized teddy-bear jacket. The oversized jacket —my personal favorite— paired with a colorful shaggy jacket with a pair of patched denim will help you flaunt your wild side.

ANIMAL PRINT

Leopards, tigers, and zebras, oh my! It’s back, covered animal print can be found in any trendy store. From a cheetah print bodysuit to snake-skin booties, be bold and show off with one of these statements. Check-out these block heels that are bound to make you stand out.

WALK IT OUT

Along with the perfect pair of animal print pumps, platform sneakers and white tennies are sticking around this fall. Grab a pair of unique platforms or bulky white “dad shoes” instead of the simple white sneaker to give your outfit a more trendy relaxed look. Want to dress it up? Expect to see boots on top of boots this fall. Find yourself investing in a pair of western-designed booties or these stellar white kicks.

FINISHING TOUCHES

It’s all about the statement pieces. Tie your outfit together with a western influenced belt or patterned hair scarf. Scarves flooded the runway this year, Tory Burch and Richard Quinn didn’t fail to get their point across. Nordstrom’s brand new private label with influencer Arielle Charnas, "Something Navy," has a few silk scarves that would accent any outfit tied either around your neck or your ponytail.
