Experiment with your Fall Keeneland Outfit
Happy fall everyone! Fall is a universally favored season, but it is particularly good in Lexington. With fall comes UK basketball, pumpkin patches, and Keeneland season. Keeneland is a great way to celebrate living in Kentucky, even if you are only here for the school year. What better way to do this, than with some good southern fashion? You have to remember, everyone dresses nicely for Keeneland. So, how can you make your outfit different for the day at the races?
Keeneland is a perfect time to dress as your best self. Bring out all of the accessories that are as fabulous as you are. You can really add to your outfit with some coordinating earrings, bracelets, or a necklace. Although, jewelry isn’t the only way you can accessorize your look. Horse racing is a perfect time to add a cute sun-hat to your look. Don’t have one? That’s okay because they are sold at Keeneland.
Horse racing is a good Kentucky tradition. In many ways, we celebrate our deepest southern roots on days at the races. You can do the same. Add a little bit of “southern belle” to your outfit. You can do this a couple of different ways. Add a full skirt to your outfit: tea-length or knee length. Floral always works for a southern belle and is a great pattern for Keeneland. Also, to finish off your look, throw on your favorite nude heels.
Most importantly, any time you get to experiment with your look, it is important to be you. Do not wear what you see everyone is wearing. Try a couple different things and see what you like best. Don't be afraid to throw on some color. The beauty of Keeneland is that it is very versatile. It is elegant but also outdoors, so there is a good chance what you are wearing will be appropriate for the day. The more your outfit looks like you, the more everyone will love it.
Enjoy this fall meet with the best of your closet!
