5 Shows to Binge-Watch This Cold Weather Season
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! It’s October, November, December which means it is Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. With spirits rising and temperature’s dropping, what better way to spend the cold days inside than binging your favorite shows? Sure we all want to go to haunted houses, pumpkin patches, and Christmas light shows but sometimes it’s just too cold! So grab a cuddle buddy, bundle up, make some hot chocolate and get ready for an indoor TV marathon as I give you the ultimate TV show binge list.
Grey’s Anatomy
First up on the list, a show I just recently finished binge-watching: "Grey’s Anatomy." If you like romance, drama, suspense, and comedy, this show is for you. Meredith Grey and her McDreamy star in this medical drama that focuses on a group of doctors who began as interns and through a series of life-changing events become life-changing doctors. You can binge the first 14 seasons on Netflix, Hulu, or On-Demand and watch its 15th season on ABC Thursday nights.
American Horror Story
If you want to get in the mood of Halloween, the perfect show to binge is "American Horror Story." Each season is a twist on something new. It goes from murder houses to asylums, to hotels, to even Donald Trump. Well, not Donald Trump specifically, but the presidential election and officials in general. This show puts together supernatural fears and everyday horrors with stars like Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates and more. You can binge the first seven seasons on Netflix or Demand and season 8 is currently airs on FX Wednesday nights.
Vampire Diaries
Another show you can add to your Halloween playlist, and a personal favorite of mine, is "Vampire Diaries." This supernatural drama stars two vampire brothers, Stefan and Damon. They have a love affair with a down to earth girl, Elena. This drama offers a captivating love triangle that makes us never want to stop watching. You can watch the whole series on Netflix and decide, are you team Stefan or team Damon?
How To Get Away With Murder
If you’re into law, drama, and thrilling suspense, this is the perfect show for you. This show follows a group of law students and their professor, a brilliant defense attorney, in a series of twisted events that get them caught up in a murder plot. Each episode starts and ends with a cliffhanger that will keep you on the edge of your seat. You can binge HTGAWM’s first four seasons on Netflix or Hulu. The fifth season airs every Thursday night on ABC.
Bates Motel
Most people are familiar with Norman Bates, a psychotic serial killer with a dissociative identity disorder. Well, Bates Motel is a prequel to Psycho which follows Norman Bates and Norma, the hotel owners of Bates Motel. The series unravels as Norman's unstable mental state and obsessive mother draws him to a state that drives him and his mom down a dark path. You can binge all five seasons on Netflix.
