People say it is the closest thing to the North Pole.
The Canary Islands- Spain
Wanting a Christmas under the sun instead of snow? The Canary Islands have many traditional Christmas activities. You can visit the Nativity scene made from sand, sit beneath the stars and listen to the open-air Christmas music concert, or try the typical pastries called “Truchas" that are made from sweet potatoes and pumpkin.
Stay until January 5th and celebrate the Three Kings. Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthasar arrive in the Islands on camels or floats in a parade. They bring gifts to all children that write them a letter explaining their wishes for the Christmas season.
