10 Ways To Spend Your December
One of the many great things about winter, aside from the holiday spirits, is the array for winter activities. From Christmas markets, ice skating, and holiday-themed bar nights, you’ll be sure to keep yourself entertained this season. Here is a list of winter activities in Lexington, Kentucky that you need to check out!
The outdoor ice skating rink in downtown Lexington is now opened for the 2018/2019 season. Tentative closing date is January 22, 2019. For only $14 a person you and your friends can enjoy a winter wonderland for 90-minutes. Operating hours are from 10 a.m.-10p.m. Check the link for details.
The Lexington Children’s Theatre is showcasing the classic Christmas story at The Lexington Opera House on December 1st, 2nd, and 8th. Adult tickets are $25 and children 18 and under are $20.
Put on your best holiday onesies, ugly sweaters, and elf costumes and get ready to crawl! 12 Bars of Christmas Crawl is coming to town on Saturday, December 1st from 12p.m.-8p.m. Enjoy specialty drinks and discounted cocktails from selected bars around Lexington. Registration is from 12p.m.-3p.m. at Tin Roof Lexington.
If you couldn’t make it to the 12 Bars of Christmas Crawl, there will be an Ugly Sweater Crawl on December 8th from 2p.m.-10p.m. Pull out your ugliest Christmas sweater and enjoy themed discounted drinks, DJ music, professional photographers and more. Registration party at Crumzz Bar and Grill from 2p.m.-4p.m.
Hallmark Channel is presenting the 2018 Trans-Siberian Orchestra at Rupp Arena this December 6th. Don’t miss out on this critically-acclaimed, multi-platinum, musical powerhouse. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. with tickets ranging from $42-$75.50.
Michler’s Greenhouses is providing a perfect Christmas market this holiday season at the Kentucky Native Café. Local artists will be providing ceramics, jewelry, cards, jams, soaps, and more. The market will be held on December 1st from 11a.m.-5p.m. and December 2nd from 12p.m.-4p.m.
This December 20th and 21st, the University Christian Fellowship is hosting a classic ballet piece at the Singletary Center for the Arts. Free tickets are now available.
